Our stretch and strength classes are a great option for all types of people. From those who are wanting to build up their strength and flexibility before giving aerial a try, to those who are wanting to increase their abilities for gymnastics or yoga, right the way to seasoned aerialists who are looking to enhance their skills in the air.
Class Types
Group Stretch
Come along to Group Stretch to increase your flexibility and mobility, not only for those fabulous bendy shapes in the air but also to improve the functional movement in your day-to-day life. Each of our stretch classes are themed differently and these themes rotate on a weekly basis for a well-rounded approach to full body flexibility. You can expect active drills, mobility challenges, deeper stretches with a focus on safe technique and alignment, as well as fun flexy shapes at the end of every session. Themes and skills include everything from touching your toes to doing the splits and getting your foot to your head in impressive backbends.
Online Stretch
We know it’s not always easy to get to the studio multiple times a week for your mat-based training, which is why we have a varied timetable of online stretch classes, all focusing on a different flexibility skill or approach, so you can join us from anywhere to get your training in (we have had people join from their office, from their garden, and from holiday - all are welcome!) Whatever your stretch goals, we have you covered - from a Start the Week Stretch, to Midday Energising, all way to a Splits and Beautiful Backbends.
Handstands
Handstands are the perfect way to build confidence with being upside down, whilst still working close to the floor. Come along to learn the top tips for balance, alignment, safely kicking up, and working away from the wall for the perfect form. Handstands are one of the best ways to build your upper body strength, making it the perfect skill to compliment your aerial training.
Power Vinyasa Yoga
The ultimate empowering and transformative yoga flow to get your week started! With a focus on traditional yoga poses, this class will challenge your balance, strength, and stamina, whilst allowing you to have a wobble and a play by defying gravity.
Mat Pilates
This is a mat-based strengthening session that is low impact yet high intensity. Build your core strength, posture, balance and flexibility within an inclusive class suitable for all - our instructor provides exercises at different levels, so you can find the drills that work best for your body. This is one of the best ways to build core strength for aerial.
Improver Acro
If you already have some acro experience this class is a great way to take your skills as both a base and a flyer to the next level. This class features lots of giggles, teamwork, and a whole lot of joyful play! In pairs and small groups we work on trust and communication through flying and balancing with shapes on the floor and from standing.
